The PADS600® is a portable (click here for remote-mounted unit) UAT receiver designed to DO-282B standards. The PADS600® displays ADS-B information including TIS-B traffic and FIS-B weather on a variety of EFIS displays and handheld devices. Non-TSO'd.
Standard features include Bluetooth and USB ports to interface to various portable devices (PDAs, Tablets, etc) running EFB software capable of displaying traffic and weather. Internal to the unit is a 5Hz GPS for precise and rapid update positioning.
The unit also has a dedicated four (4) pin connector for interfacing into TIS-A displays such as the Garmin GPSMAP 396/495/496/695/696 units. Both power and data to the Garmin units is provided via this connector, making for a simple and clean installation.
